I'm feeling kinda photo-e lately. I keep taking breaks from editing to go through some other personal images and am finding lots of stuff I like. I posted these on the Facebook fan page for the State of Arizona just now. I really, really, love the sky there. I do not miss the heat though!
All images were taken by my i-Phone and edited in Adobe Lightroom. The first three were done in September 2008.
This image was done in June 2009 about one week ago.
Welcome to the online newsletter for Rose Photography. This is a running commentary on what I do, day to day, creating terrific wedding and portrait images. If you scroll down you can read all about my daily adventures, month by month.

Senator's Wash - Yuma Arizona
On September 8, 2008, one day after my wedding, DJ and I drove out to Senator's Wash early in the morning. The wash is just outside Yuma and really close the base DJ lived on, Yuma Proving Ground. We used to hang out here during the summer as teenagers. However, I don't remember it being as pretty as it looked on this particular morning. One thing I love about Arizona is that the sky is always beautiful.
Monica and Armando's Wedding - June 20, 2009
Since I used to be next door neighbors to Monica and Armando it seems as if I have been involved in their wedding since they first starting planning for it. This past Saturday was the big day and it was awesome.
We started at St. Peter's Church in Dixon. They had mariachis for the ceremony who then also followed us to the reception.
We stopped at the state capitol for some photos with the bridal party and their "baby", Mikey.
Monica and Armando have been together for ten years this month. Armando showing off his ring.
The rings on a sombrero from one of the mariachis.
The reception took place at the Masonic Temple in Sacramento. A beautiful historic building downtown.
On the way to their first dance as husband and wife.
Congratulations Monica and Armando. Have a terrific honeymoon!
The slideshow will be coming soon....

Gina and Michael's Wedding at the Jefferson Street Mansion in Benicia
Gina and Michael wed at the beautiful Jefferson Street Mansion. You may remember them from their engagement session. When you think of places you might meet your one true love, many places probably come to mind. These two met at the Police academy and from then on their love grew. When we all arrived, Gina opened the door to this room to find her dress awaiting her.
Like her pink heels, Gina chose the perfect color for her bouquet.
The guys
Especially like this one..
The girls
The guys switched over to some casual footwear for the reception...
The maid of honor who is a teacher read an excerpt from this book...
Gina made a surprise performance with her girls as back-up singers for Michael. Everyone loved it!
Gina and Michael- Thank You! Thank You!! Thank You!!! For allowing us to be a part of your special day. I can tell your love will only get stronger as time progresses.

Janelle + Tim = Married on 5.30.09!
Janelle and Tim booked us for their wedding before they even knew where their ceremony was going to take place. What we did know is that they are very creative and were planning on their reception at the newly remodeled Citizen Hotel in Sacramento.
Janelle chose a great makeup artist, Christi Reynolds, who worked her magic that day. Janelle looked fabulous late into the evening.
Although a little more lo-key, the boys had their own room for preparation at the Citizen.
The girls, Ryan, Victoria (our runner and lighting assistant for the day), and I took the party bus to the church for the ceremony. A cool shot of the ring bearer and flower girl headed down the aisle.
On the way out.
So fun! We stopped at Safeway to get some champagne and snacks before the bridal party photos and Ryan followed the guys through the store.
Janelle chose this awesome alley to "grunge it up". Of course, we LOVED it!
Do we have a foot fetish?
Maybe......
The guys.
The guys watching Janelle work it!
We could not pass up the world's best graffitti.
MmmmHmmmm, our shadow shot.
At the Citizen. Hot, hot, hot.
The terrace was decorated to perfection.
Check out their slideshow for tons more photos, including the dancing. The DJ/Emcee was great (I'll post his link soon):
