Alyssa's Senior Portraits

Alyssa and her mom came up from Vacaville for Alyssa's senior portrait session. Ryan and I really had a lot of fun being creative in the studio, and in the parking lot behind it! Of course, we got a few awesome shadow shots. Here's the **slideshow**.

Jessica and Eric Engagement Session

Uber-romantic couple in the City. We started the session at the Palace of Fine Arts.

No session is complete without a shadow shot. I am particularly impressed by this one.

On our way to the beach at this cool spot Ryan, my assistant, spotted a little earlier.

They wanted a photo with their truck. I love my truck so I know how that feels.....That bright yellow color really contrasted with the blue sky.

Getting wet. Jess had a lot of fun kicking up the surf.

Check out our entire adventure by clicking **here**.

Katie and Jeff's Engagement Session

I photographed Katie and Jeff's Engagment Session at Andrews Park in Vacaville. As you can tell we had some awesome weather.

As you can tell, they also brought their adorable pooch along as well. I love working with dogs, especially this one, he was sooo good! You should watch the **slideshow** to see an awesome image of him at the end of the show.

Of course I have to throw in one of my signature shadow shots.

Check out the little poser in this one.

Modeling session for Luc Luzzo

Janice Luzzo, who owns Every Baking Moment in downtown Dixon, brought her son, Luc, over for a modeling session. They picked a few images to send in to Cast Images (a modeling agency in Sacramento). I hope Luc gets picked up as a model because he should. He was so easy to work with and was very natural in front of the camera. This is a collage of images I put together for Janice of her favorite images. I love having my studio in Dixon because we have just the greatest surroundings for photos, like wheat fields and Stevenson Bridge.

More Senior Portraits

In addition to being the time of year for engagement sessions, I've been doing quite a few senior portrait sessions for graduates this year.

This is Danielle Poole, graduating from Dixon High. Danielle's **slideshow**.

This is Josh Goodreau, graduating from Will C. Wood. Josh's **slideshow**.

It was really great working with both of them. They both were real naturals in front of the camera.

Emily and Andy

I've been spending too much time shooting and not enough time posting images. I photographed Emily and Andy's engagement session at the Davis Arboretum a couple weeks ago. I'm looking forward to their wedding next month. The reception sounds like it will be a lot of fun.

They brought their 3 dogs along to the session to grab a few shots with them. Emily really liked this image.

You can view their entire slideshow by clicking **here**.

Favorite Photos from Las Vegas

I LOVE the Bellagio, especially the conservatory. I never miss seeing it whenever I'm there.

Outside the Paris, where we stayed.

Shelby Irwin's Senior Session

I photographed Shelby's senior session a few weeks ago at the barn where she keeps her show cow. It was so much fun working out there and having Shelby's mom and dad helping out with the flash and reflector. I even got lifted up in the bucket of the tractor for a better shooting position for a few images.

Here's a cool collage from the session. Click **here** to see Shelby's slideshow.

On my way to Paris!!

The Paris in Las Vegas that is. I'm on my way to WPPI (Wedding and Portrait Photographers International) convention. I'll be spending most of the next week at this convention overloading myself on photography education and learning about new products and services I can add to my studio. I get to see my photo buddies from all across the United States once a year at this event and I'm really excited to get to do so! If you contact me via telephone or email while I'm gone, I will probably not be able to get back to you right away so please forgive me.

Miles

Isn't Miles one of the cutest boys you have ever seen? We did a session yesterday in the studio and Miles brought some of his favorite things like his bouncing riding horse and his personalized arm chair. The benefit of having a huge studio? Miles was a lot more willing to have a seat after he made a couple laps around the place. My top two favorite images......

Emily Wing

Emily is the sister of Matthew, who is on here from yesterday. Emily and her mom came to the studio today. Here are two of my favorites. She is a little model just like her brother and loves to have her picture taken.

Matthew Wing

Matthew, his mom, Tiffany, and I went out to Stevenson Bridge today to do a portrait session of Matthew. I swear he is a natural model, doesn't he look great?! I had trouble narrowing down but here are my favorites.

Published? well....kind of....

I met Dan O'Hara of O'Hara Productions last year at a wedding in the bay area. Dan is one of the best videographers I have ever worked with. If you are looking for great cinematography of your event, you should definitely call him. I'm excited to say that Dan liked one of my photographs well enough to want to use it for his ad in Northern California Modern Bride. :) Of course, I was happy oblige.

Wedding in Richmond

Today I helped my friend, Sylvia, photograph a wedding in the bay area. The weather was absolutely perfect and the bride and groom were a lot of fun. Some of my favorite images from the day......

Grace Lupercio Business Portrait

Grace and I worked together on her new business portrait last week here in Dixon. This was one of Grace's choices. I am also posting another image of her that I really liked.

Cahil Bahnji Senior Portraits

I wanted to make a quick post of one of portraits I did of Cahil that I really like. There were too many good ones to choose from. We did part of the session in the studio and part of the session at the Davis Arboretum. Click **here** to see Cahil's slideshow.

Spencer Kurowski is 2.5

I went out to the Arboretum with Spencer and his parents toda to commemorate 2.5 years. :) I thought this was a really neat image of Spencer with his treasured stick. As at our last session, he wouldn't do much without a stick in hand. Spencer is sure active and kept me running all over the place. Spencer's **slideshow**.

Easter Portraits in Dixon

I just had to post one of the awesome images captured today at my Easter Special. Many more will follow. It was terrific working with so many cute kids! I can't wait to share the rest.

Fun Portraits in Dixon

Ryan and I went out the other day to shoot a portrait session of him. Here are some of my favorite images from the session. It was a lot of fun to just play around and try different lighting techniques. We really like the way we used the flash off-camera for these shots.
