For this session Rose, DJ, and I followed Heather, Blake, and the rest of the family (horses included) to Point Reyes. It was a perfect day. A little windy at the beach but perfect nonetheless. This was the first time that Heather and Blake's horses have been to the ocean and the first time I've been to Point Reyes. We started out first on the beach with the horses.
All smiles
And a kiss
Their horses were beautiful and did an amazing job
We stopped at this barn on the side of the road
Blake's "barn" shot
We also stopped at a trail head on the side of the road for some cool shots.
We all had a blast and can't wait for the wedding! :)

Imelda and Mike's Engagement
We met Imelda and Mike at the Beringer Winery in St. Helena this morning. Since it was going to be the hottest day of the year (so far), we thought it was a better idea to start in the morning. Plus, Beringer gets busy and it was nice not to have many people at the winery while we photographed. I could tell why Beringer gets busy...after we were done, Sandy, who allowed us to photograph on the grounds and in the caves, had all of us do some wine tasting and the wine was delicious! (the Port especially). This was definitly one of the highlights of the day. :)
I was really excited to see the kind of caves this winery had. I was even more excited about the relief we all got when we entered the caves because it had been so hot outside and the caves were about 20 degrees cooler. With that said, here is a photo we grabbed in the caves...
In a private tasting room,
Another private room upstairs, we were so lucky to have been able to have access to all the locations we did.
The grounds were as nice as the mansion.
We learned a little history about Imelda and Mike today. Fun fact number one: Mike proposed to Imelda at this restaurant, Rutherford Grill.
Fun Fact 2: When Imelda was little, she used to swim in this swimming hole.
The carriage house at Beringer,
More in the wine caves,
We all had a great time with you guys today and can't wait for your wedding!

Catherine & Alan's Wedding at Joyful Ranch in Vacaville
Catherine and Alan were married at a beautiful ceremony at a little known location on Pleasant Valley Road, Joyful Ranch. There were awesome locations both inside and outside the house for photographs.
The reception took place at a private residence (I should say private barn) down the road a few miles. The couple had hired an incredible square dancing teacher to lead the guests in traditional square dancing. Everyone loved it and had a great time.
We had some wonderful lighting just outside the barn.
The cake from Rosana's European Bakery in Fairfield tasted great and looked just as good set up next to the barn.
Enjoy the slideshow:
