We met Imelda and Mike at the Beringer Winery in St. Helena this morning. Since it was going to be the hottest day of the year (so far), we thought it was a better idea to start in the morning. Plus, Beringer gets busy and it was nice not to have many people at the winery while we photographed. I could tell why Beringer gets busy...after we were done, Sandy, who allowed us to photograph on the grounds and in the caves, had all of us do some wine tasting and the wine was delicious! (the Port especially). This was definitly one of the highlights of the day. :)
I was really excited to see the kind of caves this winery had. I was even more excited about the relief we all got when we entered the caves because it had been so hot outside and the caves were about 20 degrees cooler. With that said, here is a photo we grabbed in the caves...
In a private tasting room,
Another private room upstairs, we were so lucky to have been able to have access to all the locations we did.
The grounds were as nice as the mansion.
We learned a little history about Imelda and Mike today. Fun fact number one: Mike proposed to Imelda at this restaurant, Rutherford Grill.
Fun Fact 2: When Imelda was little, she used to swim in this swimming hole.
The carriage house at Beringer,
More in the wine caves,
We all had a great time with you guys today and can't wait for your wedding!
:)
