You Can Make a Difference - Northern California Senior Portraits

Making a Difference

This year we are giving away a full senior package to one deserving senior. We mean full, as in everything; from session fees to prints, wallets, 411 cards, announcements ~ over $1,000 worth of services and products to be exact. Here’s where you can help…

We want you to nominate a 2012 senior who you feel is a deserving candidate for the senor portrait experience of a lifetime. We just want you to tell us why this senior is deserving and why they should be chosen as this year’s “Make a Difference” winner.

Maybe you can make a difference in a senior’s life by nominating someone who simply can’t afford senior portraits but who works tirelessly to help their family make ends meet. Maybe it’s someone who’s recently experienced a tragedy or someone who’s faced hardships throughout their life. Maybe it’s a senior who makes a difference in their community by selflessly donating their time and energy to worthy causes.

Here are the rules: (1) You cannot nominate yourself, (2) The nominee must reside in Nor Cal and be a senior who is graduating in 2012, (3) We need the truth and nothing but the truth! (4) We want the whole story, and (5) The deadline for submission is November 15, 2011.

Oh, and another perk? The person who nominates the winner receives a $250 studio credit. What better reason to make a difference in someone’s life?!

Please e-mail me directly at rose@rose-photography.com and include the following:

(1) Your name and contact information, (2) The name and contact information for your nominee , and (3) Their story and why they should be chosen as the “Make a Difference” winner.

Together we can Make a Difference

Beth & Joe & Julianna | Napa Maternity Portraits

After a super fun engagement session in Napa and an incredible wedding in Lake Tahoe, I was honored to also photograph their maternity session. It was another great time! Man, I really love working with you two and cannot wait to meet Julianna!

Here's your little sneak peek, Beth. It's one of the first images we captured and I really don't think I could have chosen a better one. I love its sweetness and simplicity and of course I remember how comical this balancing act was! Ha, ha, ha. Joe, you are just too cool for school.

Facebook was being too persnickety tonight and would not let me upload this photo. I'll get it up there soon, I promise.

See you two next week for your preview session. I'm looking forward to showing off these photos! :p

Natalie's Twelve!

Mid-day photo session at the Arboretum. What a beautiful young lady Natalie is becoming! I have been photographing her for about the last seven years, and have loved watching her mature.

I think you'll love all your images, Nat, can't wait for you to see them. Jennifer, thanks for taking care of my baby while I photographed yours!

This Moment

A new regular blog feature (inspired by a couple of Waldorf focused blogs I follow), I think it's a great idea to celebrate these little moments in our lives.

One little moment from my week that I am in love with. A moment I am grateful was caught on film. A moment I embraced, discovered and felt connected.

Thank you Lisa Jurado and Erin Losado for capturing this moment for me.
