Two of Lisa's favorites:
This one is my favorite. Although the kids were great for the session as you can see from above, I think this image sums up the chaos of life with four children.

The Schouten Family
Such nice weather at the end of November......a great day to be outside. Some of my favs from the session:
Baby Aidan was full of expressions, but I thought this one was classic.
Such a cute relaxed family portrait.
Okay, guys here's your *slideshow*. Thanks for a great time and thanks to Ryan G for helping make everyone laugh.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
What I am thankful for this year.....
My wonderful family and incredibly supportive friends. Especially Nathan for helping me make 6 (yes, 6) pumpkin pies from scratch yesterday.
My amazing assistant Ryan (who took the photo of Reba and I seen above), Shannon and Jana who are all so awesome in helping me run my business.
My terrific clients who trust me to capture their memories and allow me to share in their life. Many of you have become such dear friends of mine.
All my photo buddies for inspiring me and motivating me.
So, it seems this list could go on and on.....but I'll end by saying I do feel truly blessed to be doing what I do and I want to THANK YOU - because if you are reading this you have been a part of my life and I'm grateful to have you in it. :)
Have a wonderful day!!

K-La's Modeling Session
These are a few of images that made it onto K-La's zed card for her big trip to LA later this month.
This last image made it into the portfolio and is one of my favorites from the day.
Good luck in LA K-La!

Engagement Sessions in San Francisco
I ran into the City last weekend to help my friend Nathan, with a couple of engagement sessions. The weather couldn't have been better and we all had a terrific time.
We started at the Palace of Fine Arts with Karen & Jesse. Don't they look sweet?
Of course, I had to:
We also ran across the street to the beach by Crissy Field. I love this image with the bridge in the background. We were photographing on the top of a little sand dune to avoid having the huge crowd of people who were out enjoying the day in our shots.
Yeah, I had to do this too even though Nathan is going to kill me! hee, hee. Apparently you need a permit to do professional photography there so Nathan is getting a ticket. Of course, the benefit of being the lowly "assistant" is that the ranger never even talked to me even though I was hauling a camera, hip bag, and my flash on a stick. To all my photo buddies, this is truly 'shooting from the hip' (pretty good, huh?) as I didn't want to press my luck by documenting this event and getting caught doing it.
Karen and Jesse were such good sports. They got a laugh out of it as well. Welcome to California guys!
After all the excitement Nathan and I went back to the Palace to meet up with Jill and Lee. I love it when the sun goes down between the columns in the gazebo.
On to Baker Beach where Lee got a little wet. I love the expression on his face.
A different take on the ring shot.
We ended the evening with dinner at Bubba Gump's at Pier 39 with a ride on the carousel afterwards. Nathan has those photos so hopefully he'll post them up soon on his blog.
Happy wedding planning to you all!

Monica's Maternity Session
I had so many photos that I loved from Monica's session that I had to have my friend, Toni, pick her favorites to post here. We went out to a house a couple of miles outside of Dixon where Monica used to live because I knew from working out there previously we would have some really cool outside elements to work with.
Of course I have to grab a shadow shot:
On the tractor:
By the reflecting pool:
This was Toni's vote for favorite image:
In the gazebo - this one is my favorite, it really says to me what it is like to live in Dixon with all the beautiful countryside surrounding us:
Monica's son, Josiah, helped me out a little bit during the session and also jumped in for a couple of shots. You'll have to watch the slideshow to see those images though.

Cookie, Ruby, and a little bit of Roy
Cookie asked me to do a portrait session for her and her "baby", Ruby, who is 11 years old and is slowing down now. Roy joined us at Northwest Park for a few family photos. There are a lot more photos of sweet little Ruby in her slideshow.
I love fall portraits!
All Kristen wanted for her birthday was a family portrait so that's what Scott got her earlier this year. We finally were able to make coordinate a session and went out to the Arboretum for the awesome fall colors - even their pooch was color coordinated for the season. I know you've been waiting patiently, Kristen, so here's your slideshow.
