Mid-day photo session at the Arboretum. What a beautiful young lady Natalie is becoming! I have been photographing her for about the last seven years, and have loved watching her mature.
I think you'll love all your images, Nat, can't wait for you to see them. Jennifer, thanks for taking care of my baby while I photographed yours!

A Beautiful Maternity Session
Lisa wanted a 20x20 collage of images of her session to present to her fiance on her birthday this weekend. So glad she did a collage because we had a hard time narrowing down to just six images, I don't think we could have picked just one. I'm looking forward to meeting baby Donna in April!

Russ and Kay Cayler - Just Because Portrait Session - Davis California
We went to the Davis Arboretum for Russ and Kay's Just Because Portrait Session. The garden and grounds are beautiful for pretty much the entire year. They are such a sweet couple. We got some great images of them together. I wanted to do a special design that speaks about their love for each other.

I also built a collage for them.

Nathan's Senior Portrait Session - Dixon California
We had one session already in downtown Vacaville but wanted to do another session in studio with some firefighter gear because Nathan was a cadet with the Dixon Fire Department. This was my favorite image from the studio session.
Ashlyn's Four Month Baby Portrait - Dixon California
I have been having a lot of fun photographing my beautiful baby girl. However, I have not posted many as it has been difficult to keep up with everything and spend the time I like to with her. One of my goals is post a few out of the thousands (literally) of photos I have taken since her birth on April 26, 2010. She sure is my precious little bean!
Hodson and Mullin, Attorneys - Portrait Session in Vacaville California
I photographed a group photo for this attorney office several years ago for their website and Yellow Pages advertising. Last week we updated the photo at a park across the street from their office in Vacaville.
Beth's Graduation Party Announcement
I photographed Beth and Joe's wedding in Lake Tahoe in 2008. I was really happy to see her again to photograph her for graduation from her master's program. She is very creative so I knew I had to come up with some cute ideas for her photos and her announcements. This is what we did.

Some cute portrait collages
We had a lot of fun working with Abbi and Nathan and I love these two 10x20 collages that we did for Christmas. They looked gorgeous framed!

Valerie Stevens Portrait Session at the Davis Arboretum
It took Valerie and I one and one half years to make this session and it was awesome. We had a great time with Valerie and Dolan. They were married January 2008 and were given a gift certificate for a portrait session. These are, in a sense, what Valerie called "her engagement pics".
Dolan was such a sport even though he thought we were gonna torture him on the onset. However, as the session went out he started busting out with the jokes and coming up with ideas for locations and poses.
Here are some of our favs:

Mason's Portrait Session
Friday night DJ and I went over to Jill Orr's house to photograph her grandson, Mason. Mom, Alyssa, was there to baby wrangle and it went great. Jill has an awesome backyard which gave us several locations to use. It was very hard to limit myself to these few images.

Arianna's studio fairy portrait and more....
I have known Arianna since she was a "little" girl, since she was about 12 I would guess. We used to live out in the cuts as neighbors. Those were good times with bonfires and BBQs. We even had a concert once with a band from Benicia! Needless to say, I have been taking photos of her for it seems like forever.
Anyways, I did Arianna's senior portraits in February 2006, photos and slideshow are here,
and haven't really seen her since then. We had a chance to get together the other night at the studio to play around with Arianna modeling in some different sets for me.
As you can see, she has grown into a lovely young woman and made a gorgeous fairy.

We also did some Hollywood Glamour type sets.

This is so Bridget Bardot to me, don't know why.

Thanks for coming by Ari, can't wait for another session.

New Virtual Background Scene Machine
So, I have gotten way behind on the blogging again. I received my new Virtual Backgrounds Scene Machine and was busy trying to get it all set up so I could play. I was very excited that it was finally here as I ordered it when I was in Las Vegas at WPPI (Weddings and Portrait Photographers International) convention. Then I managed to catch strep throat yet again so I was down for about a week. Now I am playing catch-up on everything.
I had a chance to do some work on it over the past week so this is going to be a long post with most of the first images I captured. There are a few more that I will add in the next couple of days. (Beth, don't worry, yours will be posted soon!)
Without further ado, here are some of the incredible people I photographed on the VB Scene Machine recently:
Emily, all the way from Oregon:

Little Lola, such a sweet angel. This image is entered it the National Charity Model Search benefitting the NILMDTS (nowilaymedowntosleep.org) foundation. If you would like to donate to a wonderful cause and vote for Lola to win, please click *here* to link to the voting site.

The lovely Shannon, my office manager:
