Trashy Photos

Ha, ha, made ya look..... :) I wanted to post up a few more images that I liked from the "trash the dress" shoot in Old Sacramento last Monday. My buddy, Carlos Rivera, featured me on his blog with a little interview and one of my other favorite photos from the day. You can check out Carlos' blog by clicking the collage below.

Trash the Dress in Old Sacramento

This is one of my favorite images from a "trash the dress" session in Old Sacramento Monday evening. A great group of Sacramento area photographers got together with some models to have some fun being creative. Our very own Ryan Greenleaf, my assistant, was one of the models - he is sooo multi-talented! I want to make sure I send a great big THANK YOU out to him and his friend Courtney for getting trashy with us.

You can view blogs from two of the other photographers who participated and have posted images from the session: Carmen Salazar and Carlos Rivera. These are two very talented photo-buds of mine in Sacramento.

Trashing the Dress = Newsworthy

A growing trend in photography is making it mainstream. Click HERE to watch the news clip.

While Ryan and I haven't technically "trashed" a dress, we have had some great "day after" sessions during which our couples don their wedding gear and we go out the next day for some relaxed portraits in a cool location. I think these sessions are a great idea and make some great artistic portraits of the bride and/or couple. I've had a few brides express an interest in this concept and we are looking forward to it. If you are interested in creatively expressing yourself this way (or know someone who might be), give us a call (even if we didn't do the wedding), and we'll plan something fun!
